Increased simulation difficulty

What’s new at HacWare?

Simulation emails with attachments are now harder to detect. We've increased the difficulty for end-users to detect phishing simulations in their inboxes. When users click on an attachment in a simulation email as shown below:

Clicking on the attachment to preview the file or choosing to download the file will instantly notify a user they've failed the simulation.

Phish Plus and Super Phish users will be directed to training following a simulation failure.

How will this update affect my organization?

This will improve your understanding of your user’s behavior by capturing more click action on phishing simulations. As an added challenge for educated end-users who may have been using the preview function to bypass simulations, you’ll be able to provide more education to your team.

How do I find this change in the product?

You will see this change immediately in phishing simulation emails scheduled in the Partner Portal. To send simulations with attachments instantly, use Administrative Phishing Controls.
